"For over 10 consecutive years VC Colets Cycling has booked Lakeside Caravan Park for its annual club weekend away, and we see no reason to look anywhere else for an alternative. Being located in the Brecon Beacons National Park makes Lakeside Caravan Park an ideal location for cycling, with challenging but achievable climbs, including some which have featured in the Tour of Britain (The Tumble, for example), along with exhilarating descents. In addition to that, the scenery, as you’d expect from one of the UK’s National Parks, is stunning.
As well as its convenient location, which is also easy to get to by car, Lakeside Caravan Park offers great facilities and always a warm welcome. The static units are consistently in excellent condition and very clean, as is the whole site, which is also secure thanks to a coded gate. The staff at Lakeside are always super helpful and do whatever they can to help make your stay the best it can be.
Next to the reception there is a café, and there is also a pub onsite, as well as one or two others dotted around locally within the village of Llangorse and the surrounding area. Lakeside Caravan Park has also invested in additional infrastructure for cyclists and MTB riders, including secure bike storage and bike wash facilities.
All in all, Lakeside Caravan Park is perfect as a location for arranging a weekend, or longer, club or group cycling getaway like we do. Thanks to all the team at Lakeside, past and present, for their part in helping make one of VC Colets’ key annual events the success that it is."
